وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisالْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūna(for) the believersلِيَنْفِرُواliyanfirūthat they go forthكَٓافَّةًۜkāffatanall togetherفَلَوْلَاfalawlāSo if notنَفَرَnafarago forthمِنْminfromكُلِّkullieveryفِرْقَةٍfir'qatingroupمِنْهُمْmin'humamong themطَٓائِفَةٌṭāifatuna partyلِيَتَفَقَّهُواliyatafaqqahūthat they may obtain understandingفِيfīinالدّ۪ينِl-dīnithe religionوَلِيُنْذِرُواwaliyundhirūand that they may warnقَوْمَهُمْqawmahumtheir peopleاِذَاidhāwhenرَجَعُٓواrajaʿūthey returnاِلَيْهِمْilayhimto themلَعَلَّهُمْlaʿallahumso that they mayيَحْذَرُونَ۟yaḥdharūnabewareIt is not advisable for those who acknowledge to march out in their entirety. For every battalion that marches out, let a group remain to study the system, and warn their people when they return to them, perhaps they will be cautious.
