لَوْlawIfخَرَجُواkharajūthey (had) gone forthف۪يكُمْfīkumwith youمَاmānotزَادُوكُمْzādūkumthey (would) have increased youاِلَّاillāexceptخَبَالاًkhabālan(in) confusionوَلَا۬اَوْضَعُواwala-awḍaʿūand would have been activeخِلَالَكُمْkhilālakumin your midstيَبْغُونَكُمُyabghūnakumuseeking (for) youالْفِتْنَةَۚl-fit'natadissensionوَف۪يكُمْwafīkumAnd among you (are some)سَمَّاعُونَsammāʿūnawho would have listenedلَهُمْۜlahumto themوَاللّٰهُwal-lahuAnd Allahعَل۪يمٌʿalīmun(is) All-Knowerبِالظَّالِم۪ينَbil-ẓālimīnaof the wrongdoersHad they come out with you they would have added nothing but disorder, and they would have hurried about seeking a test among you. There are some amongst you who listen to them. God is aware of the wicked.
