Surah 9 · Verse 55

فَلَاfalāSo (let) notتُعْجِبْكَtuʿ'jib'kaimpress youاَمْوَالُهُمْamwāluhumtheir wealthوَلَٓاwalāand notاَوْلَادُهُمْۜawlāduhumtheir childrenاِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyيُر۪يدُyurīduAllah intendsاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah intendsلِيُعَذِّبَهُمْliyuʿadhibahumto punish themبِهَاbihāwith itفِيfīinالْحَيٰوةِl-ḥayatithe lifeالدُّنْيَاl-dun'yā(of) the worldوَتَزْهَقَwatazhaqaand should departاَنْفُسُهُمْanfusuhumtheir soulsوَهُمْwahumwhile theyكَافِرُونَkāfirūna(are) disbelievers
