اَلَّذ۪ينَalladhīnaThose whoيَلْمِزُونَyalmizūnacriticizeالْمُطَّوِّع۪ينَl-muṭawiʿīnathe ones who give willinglyمِنَminaofالْمُؤْمِن۪ينَl-mu'minīnathe believersفِيfīconcerningالصَّدَقَاتِl-ṣadaqātithe charitiesوَالَّذ۪ينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoلَاlānotيَجِدُونَyajidūnafindاِلَّاillāexceptجُهْدَهُمْjuh'dahumtheir effortفَيَسْخَرُونَfayaskharūnaso they ridiculeمِنْهُمْۜmin'humthemسَخِرَsakhiraAllah will ridiculeاللّٰهُl-lahuAllah will ridiculeمِنْهُمْۘmin'humthemوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishmentاَل۪يمٌalīmunpainfulGod mocks those who criticize the generous acknowledgers for giving too much; and disdain those who do not have anything to give but their effort, God disdains them, and they will have a painful retribution.
