اِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyالسَّب۪يلُl-sabīluthe way (blame)عَلَىʿalā(is) onالَّذ۪ينَalladhīnathose whoيَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَyastadhinūnakaask your permissionوَهُمْwahumwhile theyاَغْنِيَٓاءُۚaghniyāu(are) richرَضُواraḍūThey (are) satisfiedبِاَنْbi-antoيَكُونُواyakūnūbeمَعَmaʿawithالْخَوَالِفِۙl-khawālifithose who stay behindوَطَبَعَwaṭabaʿaand Allah sealedاللّٰهُl-lahuand Allah sealedعَلٰىʿalā[on]قُلُوبِهِمْqulūbihimtheir heartsفَهُمْfahumso theyلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknowIndeed, the argument is against those who sought your permission to stay while they had the means. They accepted to be with those who remained behind; God stamped their hearts, for they do not know.
